Tires, Brakes & Safety

Tire wear and pressure, pulling and vibration, and keeping your brakes in good order.

Replace tires when the tread is worn, cracks are developing, the tire is damaged or it is no longer holding air correctly.

Florida heat and sun can age tires even when tread depth still appears acceptable.

Use the tire and vehicle manufacturer’s recommended pressure.

Do not assume all golf cart tires use the same pressure. Tire construction, size and vehicle configuration can vary.

Possible causes include:

  • Unequal tire pressure
  • Tire wear
  • Alignment
  • Steering components
  • Suspension wear
  • Brake drag

If the cart consistently pulls to one side, have it inspected.

Vibration can result from tires, wheels, suspension, steering or drivetrain components.

Because vibration can indicate a safety issue, we recommend having persistent shaking inspected rather than simply continuing to drive the cart.

Brake condition should be part of routine service.

If you notice longer stopping distances, noise, pulling, a change in pedal feel or poor parking-brake performance, have the brakes inspected promptly.
